hp 500-223w...bios now is 80.20..i cant even know where to check for updates

The BIOS updates are under the W8.1 driver section.

 

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-500-Desktop-PC-series/5399647/model/652...

 

Make sure you update the BIOS with the correct SSID that matches your PC's BIOS family.

Hi:

 

There is a BIOS update under the W7 driver section of your PC's support page.

 

You need to be running W7 to update the BIOS.
