Hello, i can enter the bios i cant switch boot order. i need to restore a copy of my backup i made.   It wont let me

Welcome to the forum.

It is very hard to provide assistance using the information you are providing.

 

Where is the backup? What bootable rescue media are you using (CD/DVD or USB)?

 

Pavilion 500 represents many HP products. You need to provide a specific product number so I can check your PC's specs.

 

Most newer HP PCs give a Boot Menu option within the Startup Menu when you tap "ESC" at system startup.

 

I don't mess with changing boot device preferences. Just use the Boot Menu to select the correct boot device when you need to boot to this device.
