Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When I started my pc this morning I founf that all my desktop icons have disappeared

Hmm, that is strange. I wonder if you might have accidentally switched to tablet mode, where desktop icons would not display at all. See Switching Between Desktop Mode and Tablet Mode (Windows 10).

 

If that doesn't work, try installing Windows Updates and then restart your computer. I would also run a virus scan. Good luck!

If all desktop icons are missing, right-click an open area of the desktop, select View, and make sure Show desktop icons is selected. See http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01853728#AbT2 for more information.

my desktop icons have disappeared - and when I right click on an empty space nothing happens
