Example: HP Omen
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

when I went in to optimize my hard disc drive, under last run it says never run and current status says ok 0% fragmented. does this mean I should never optimize this drive?

Hi:

You can optimize the drive.

W10 automatically detects if it is a mechanical hard drive or SSD and will defragment it if it is a HDD or TRIM it if it is a SSD.

There should also be a box to check to automatically run the utility.

I run it once a week on my PC's even though I also have it checked to optimize automatically.
