I need a bios update for my pavilion h8-1010. It has 7.16 but i heard 7.17 exists and i need it. I upgraded from i5-2390t to i7-3770 and it isn’t showing video.

Greetings @0Tyler9

Both processors need an Intel LGA 1155 socket so you're good to go in this respect.

The h8-1010 PC is out of HP support. HP is not providing driver support for your HP PC.

The latest BIOS update I could find for your PC is BIOS version 7.16 Rev. A at this Site. You're taking a risk when downloading drivers from any non-HP site.

There is no guarantee a more recent BIOS update, if it exists and you could find it, would support the i7-3770.

It is recommended to avoid downloading HP software from third party sites.

According to the parts list for your PC, the Carmel motherboard it comes with only supports the Intel Sandy Bridge (2nd) gen core processors.

That means you can install up to the i7-2600S (65W), which is why you're not getting any video from the i7-3770.

Granted...some Intel H61 motherboards do support the 3rd generation core processors but not the one in your PC.

Please see this related discussion.  This model has the same motherboard as yours:
