Product: HP Laptop 15s-du3xxx

Currently i have 8gb ram 2*4 gb but somehow its showing me only 4gb ram on system ( 1/2 slot used its says ) ... btw how much ram is expandable on my system i'm thinking  to upgrade my ram.

I would check to make sure the BIOS reports 8 GB of memory, because if the notebook came with 2 x 4 GB of memory and the BIOS and Windows only report 4 GB is present, something is wrong hardware-wise.

 

HP does not have a service manual for the 15s-du3xxx model series.

 

The only manual they have is for the 15s-du0xxx model series

 

See chapter 1 of the maintenance and service guide for the memory upgrade information:

The Crucial memory report for the 15s-du3xxx model series that have Intel core processors indicates they can support up to 2 x 32 GB of memory.
