Hello @catsears

Sorry to hear that you are having problems ... I would like to help you.

You are using Windows 10 which is not officially supported by HP Software and Drivers.

The latest supported Windows version is Windows 8.1 (64-bit).

(1Download and install from Microsoft Apps Store

HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows

or

HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows v1.8.2.0

(2) Run <HP Diagnostics for Windows>

 - Perform <all> available tests

(3Please report your results ( error messages, take screenshots )

( if serial number, device id, UUID, System Board CT Number is displayed, please blur )

hi  thanks for the reply. could you please tell me WHAT is causing the constant bsod??  could it be something as simple as the power cord, if so, where do I get another one?

I really dont like windows 8, there was too much problem with it and didnt last long.  when I purchased this computer there was windows vista on it, then I upgraded to windows 7 when I had to.   I didnt want to go to windows 10 but....you know.  but NEVER did I have windows 8 on here!

windows 7 I think still has its info on this computer, when I look at backup it says windows 7 backup, so assume its still on this computer and hasnt totally been deleted.  I think I still have the windows 7 installation disk.  BUT I realize that 7 is no longer supported either with security, THAT concerns me greatly due to all the financial things I do here.

so do you still suggest installing the win 8?  thanks for your help and patience.

lol, have a pic of the blue screen on my phone, but senior dummy that I am, I cant get it to the computer! when I plug in the cord from phone to computer, its not bringing up the thing I need to follow thru directions to transfer to computer.   also tried taking a pic with a camera, but when using the camera card in the computer, there is nothing on it!  wow, I should just give it all up....

anyway, let me see what I can do and will get you a pic as soon as I figure it out.  thanks for your help!
