Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Since an automated HP update,  my keyboard is malfunctioning. Letters don't always appear and scrolling down is a nightmare - I have had to leave USA as where I live as I couldn't get it to change to my country. Have been told there must be malware on the machine but microsoft malware search hasn't detected any. Anyone able to help?

I would try MalwareBytes and Avast Anti-Virus (https://www.malwarebytes.org/dl-confirm/ & https://www.avast.com/en-gb/index)

 

Also http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/language-packs#lptabs=win10 is worth a visit.

 

AAND you could try and roll back the driver or choose an earlier restore point.  I cannot give specific details as your make and model are not obvious.

 

If in doubt please ask.

Thanks a lot. The malabyte bit seems to have worked - am typing now without any problems and have tried the drop down menus on different sites - all okay. The anti virus program found 46 threats - all starting with PUP in the description. It was scary as this was the first time  I have used a forum - glad I trusted a stranger.
