@kamaeya, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding laptop charger!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Check the Power Outlet: Ensure the power outlet is functioning properly by testing it with another device. If the outlet is not working, try a different one.

Inspect the Charger: Examine the charger for any visible damage, such as frayed wires or bent connectors. If you see any damage, discontinue use immediately to prevent further damage or hazards.

Examine the Charging Port: Inspect the laptop's charging port for dust or debris that might prevent a good connection. If necessary, clean the port gently with a brush or compressed air.

Test with Another Charger: If possible, try using another compatible charger to see if the laptop charges. This can help determine if the issue is with the charger or the laptop.

Remove the Battery: If your laptop has a removable battery, try taking it out and then reinserting it. After doing so, attempt to charge the laptop again.

Check for Indicator Lights: Look for any indicator lights on the charger or laptop to see if there are any signs of charging or error messages.

Software Check: Ensure that your laptop's power management settings are correctly configured and that there are no pending updates affecting the charging process.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
