HP Compaq dc5800 Small Form Factor PC
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I upgraded to windows 7/64 for the user per his personal request and found out that the product key has been removed by tech who set up puter originally. How do I get the product key.  User wanted win/7  because he is familiar with it. The original O/S was Vista 2009

Hello @Whooinhell2000

Thank you for posting in the HP Support forum.

If the computer originally had Windows Vista, then it has a Vista key, not Windows 7 key.

The key for Vista and 7 can only be found from the COA sticker attached to the PC (usually on the bottom of a notebook, or the side of a desktop PC). If the COA sticker is gone, no way to obtain the key
