I need help in solving this problem. For the past few months, my mouse will now move at a normal pace. It jumps and crawls across the screen. It feels like I am pulling and pushing a boulder. I have changed the batteries, adjusted the speed continuously and even bought a new mouse, The new mouse worked for about 2 weeks and started the same jerks and jumps as the old mouse. I have tried to do the slow movement maintenance check, but to no avail. If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate it.

@casperjack Greetings from the HP Community!
Note: Please ensure the complete product name/number for a quicker response from the community, as we need to know what we are dealing with to provide an accurate solution:
Click here for steps on finding the information we need!
Remember: Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.
Meanwhile, please check if an alternate USB mouse works fine, now!
And if an alternate mouse works fine, we may need to reset the mouse settings, perhaps, you can check with an alternate user account to check if that works fine.
Keep us posted,
