Windows 7 Pro: there is so much corruption on my computer that I would like to start a System Recovery. I'm I right to assume that all my paid for E-downloaded programs will be lost and I assume that it means that my registry will revert back to day one. This is a big problem. I assume there is no other way. Please help me if there is.

Ouch!  :generic:

Have you been able to run that "keyfinder" program, to find the license-keys for all your programs?

If you have, and you have made a "backup" of all your personal files, bookmarks, and E-mail, then it is time to do a "clean" install of Windows 7.

Please explain what you mean by "corruption".

Also, see: https://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder/

Run this "key-finder" on your computer to dig through your computer's files, to find the product-keys for quite a variety of software.

Then, after reinstalling, download the program, and enter its product-key, to reactivate the software.

What I mean by corrupt is: 1. InstallShield Wizard stopped working 2. HP support assistance installer has stopped working and HPSF.exe. 3. Google Chrome update with error code 3 stopped updating, will not update. 4. Windows will not update. Plus, my registry is bloated. Thank you for your comeback.
