why is it so hard for you guys to understand that your **bleep**ty software deleted my files and not ME.

it also erased **bleep** from my bin, i know i clicked on it accidentally and its partly on me but omen gaming hub was NEVER a cleaning software and i dont understand why it had premission to delete so much stuff at once, you usually WOULD assume that by cleaning up space it means deleting CACHE or similar files but no it had to delete whatever the **bleep** it wanted.

FIX YOUR **bleep**TY APP. i am not paying for a recovery software, why is it so hard to have a brain these days i just do not understand

Hi @fyaetrhtfhfggj,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you lost your files due to the HP Omen Gaming Hub. If you've lost files and need to recover them, you can try the following steps.

Check the Recycle Bin (Windows) or Trash (Mac):

  • Sometimes, deleted files end up in the Recycle Bin (Windows) or Trash (Mac) and can be easily restored from there. Open the respective bin and look for your deleted files. If you find them, right-click on the files and select "Restore" (Windows) or drag them back to your desktop or desired location (Mac).

Use File Recovery Software:

  • If you can't find the files in the Recycle Bin or Trash, you may need to use specialized file recovery software. Some popular options include Recuva, EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard, or MiniTool Power Data Recovery for Windows, and Disk Drill for Mac. These tools can often recover deleted files, even if they were removed from the bin.

Restore from Backup:

  • If you have a backup of your files, you can restore them from there. Check if you have a recent backup on an external hard drive, cloud storage service, or a backup utility. If you have a backup, you can use it to recover your lost files.

Check for Shadow Copies (Windows):

  • Windows has a feature called "Previous Versions" or "Shadow Copies" that can sometimes help recover deleted files. Right-click on the folder where the files were located, select "Properties," and go to the "Previous Versions" tab. Here, you may find a previous version of the folder that contains your deleted files.

Remember, the sooner you attempt to recover deleted files, the higher the chances of success. Avoid using the affected drive or partition to minimize the risk of overwriting the deleted data. Additionally, it's essential to regularly back up your important files to prevent data loss in the future.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Thank you for the reply, but this isn't a question that I had asked. Must be a mix up with another inquiry from another community member.

This just happened to me too. Were you able to do anything about it? I just lost like 500 hours of work

I can't remember exactly how many files I had in my downloads that were lost. Yesterday I had all of them, now theyre just gone. I didn't acciddentally click anything or download any viruses. I would very much like to have my files found or at least have some help please.
