not sure if this is the right catagory for this question.  i got a new hp computer and i put it to sleep for the first time last night. it stayed asleep all night but when i woke it up no programs were loaded like before i put it to sleep as if the computer had reset. i tried to put it to sleep them minutes later bring it back and this time all the programs were still there. i read on another forum someone else said the same thing happened but there wasn't any real answers to their inquiry. i don't know if it's a windows 10 thing or a hp computer thing.

Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

Sleep problems are usually caused by misbehaving or older drivers.

It could be a hardware problem since your PC is brand new and HP factory operating system images are stable .

Sleep problems are very tedious to troubleshoot.

Did the PC reboot? Were you at the sign in screen when you woke the PC?

Did you check Power Options in Control Panel to verify the settings are on a HP Recommended or Balanced setting?

Check Control Panel, Security and Maintenance to see if any driver installations need to be completed.

Regards
