my Product # TOF29A . I don't know if you could help or direct me to someone can solve my issue.
I received an alert about System Extension from macOS and stated that I should contact the developer for support because the extensions need to be updated or will be incompatible with futures versions of macOS.
I am so happy that you contacted me because I am at a loss.
I do not know if I have to do something on my end or someone else has to correct the problem
Thank You

Hey @fred429,
Thank you for your response
When macOS gives you an alert about a system extension, it typically means that certain components of the printer software are not fully optimized for the latest macOS updates or future versions. In this case, it's important to ensure that your printer software is updated to the latest version to maintain compatibility with macOS.
Update Printer Software:
- Go to the HP Software and Driver Downloads page.
- Search for "HP OfficeJet Pro 6978" and download the latest macOS drivers and software.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install the updates.
Update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)
- Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.
Check for macOS Updates:
- Ensure that your macOS is up to date. Sometimes, updates from Apple can fix compatibility issues.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
