Pavilion 32q
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Pavilion 32q display. "My Display" utility not working. (Most recent version dated 2016). Display drivers are installed / up to date. Most recent display driver (Intel) installed. Uninstalled, reinstalled, etc. No good. Has development of the utility been abandoned?

Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

I see that your HP Pavilion 32q 32-inch Display utility not working, I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  •  When was the last time it worked fine?
  • Have you made any hardware/software changes?
  • Are you getting any error message or code?
  • What is the exact issue with the display?

Keep me posted for further assistance.

Perhaps my message was not clear:

Brand new display (32q).

The "My Display" utility does NOT work. (Updated to latest version - difficult to find via HP support site).

The "My Display" utility has NEVER worked with my display.

The "My Display" utility does NOT recognize the display,

The "My Display" utility was uninstalled, monitor drivers were checked, latest Intel graphics drivers installed.

The "My Display" utility does NOT work.

Based on what I can see, the company that provides the "My Display" utility has not upgraded it in some time.

Does the "My Dsiplay" utility work with the 32q - yes, or no.

Thank you.

Thank you for posting back.

Is this first time your trying to use display utility options?
Are you referring to  "On-Screen Display Utility" which enables the pop-up graphic displays that are shown on the screen when certain characteristics?

Keep me posted for further assistance.

HP "My Display" software.

It is mentioned in the documentation that accompanies the monitor.

https://www.portrait.com/dtune/hpc/enu/upgrade_instructions.html

Does this software work with the 32q? Yes, or no.

It appears to be outdated / abandoned.

The last list of supported hardware goes back to 2015.

To get the answer to this question, As this software is outdated you won't be able to use this Application software.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

If it cannot be used, if it will not be updated, then REMOVE ANY AND ALL MENTIONS OF IT IN YOUR DOCUMENTATION AND ON YOUR WEB SITE!. THIS IS MISLEADING AT BEST. I thought HP had more brains than this...
