Thanks to everyone who helped me,
so I resolved my issues, I recovered my pc with the win 10 usb I purchsed from the Netherlands via HP support
when it had finished my pc automatically re installed win 11 and
loads of updates, but it was worth it, fingers crossed my pc it ok at present,
I am updating my situation to say thank you and it might help others in the future
take care
steve
PS there is never a kudos thumbs up on the right of my screen so sorry I can't click on it ?
