I accidently deleted a file or something and now when I open Word it says I must install a file. How do I do that? It's not in the store and I checked my recycle bin as well and it wasn't there!

@vmp1980, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you might have accidentally deleted a crucial file needed for Microsoft Word to function properly. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this issue:
Repair Microsoft Office Installation:
- Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
- Find Microsoft Office in the list, select it, and click on Change.
- Choose the Repair option and follow the on-screen instructions.
Reinstall Microsoft Office:
- If repairing doesn't work, you might need to reinstall Microsoft Office.
- You can download the installation files from the Microsoft Office website using your product key.
Restore from Backup:
- If you have a backup of your system, you can restore the deleted file from there.
- Use the File History feature in Windows if you have it enabled.
Check for Missing Shortcuts:
- Sometimes, the issue might be with a missing shortcut rather than the actual file.
- You can recreate the shortcut by navigating to the Office installation folder (usually in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office) and finding the Word executable file (WINWORD.EXE). Right-click on it and select Create shortcut.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
