Hi @telejojo, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Sounds like you've been on an unintentional adventure in silent computing—HP’s first-ever stealth mode desktops! (Okay, not really, but wouldn’t that be something?)

Jokes aside, I totally get how frustrating it is when your brand-new system refuses to make a peep, whether through wired or Bluetooth. Let’s bring the beats back! 🎵

Here’s a battle plan to reclaim your sound kingdom:

Check the Basics – I know, I know, you've probably done this, but humor me:

  • Right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar → Select Sounds → Under Playback, make sure the correct output device is set as Default (not “Silent Treatment 3000”).

Update Audio Drivers – Sometimes, Windows updates are like that friend who rearranges your furniture without telling you.

  • Open Device Manager → Expand Sound, video and game controllers → Right-click on your audio device (probably Realtek) → Click Update DriverSearch automatically.

Bluetooth Troubleshooting – If your Bluetooth speakers are acting like they don’t know you:

  • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Devices → Remove and re-pair your Bluetooth audio device.
  • Ensure the Bluetooth Audio Profile is set correctly (sometimes Windows gets confused and thinks you want to use the speaker as a walkie-talkie).

Windows Audio Services Check – Because sometimes, the sound system just decides to take an unexpected vacation.

  • Press Win + R, type services.msc, and hit Enter.
  • Find Windows Audio, right-click, and select Restart (Tell it, “Hey, back to work!”).

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
