How do I use automatic recovery.  It gets stuck on keyboard layout selection.  There is no way to select keyboard layout.

Hi

I dont know.  Are you referring to this....

I tried to use system recovery and the computer says that there are no recovery points to use.  Then I tried automatic recovery and it gets to the point where you have to select a keyboard option.  The keyboard lights go out and there is nothing to select what keyboard option to use.  The mouse does not work either.  Up to the point where you have to select what option to use both the keyboard and mouse work.  How do I tell it what keyboard option to use?  Automatic repair does not proceed unless you select what keyboard to use.  How do I get passed the keyboard selection?

Hi

I do not know a way around that conundrum.

An alternative may be to try from an external DVD/USB if possible.  The recovery you are trying may be based on a problem hard disk.

Is there another PC you can use to try and make a Repair/Recovery media from here, (unless you already have something)....

Create Windows 10 installation media

To get started, you will first need to have a license to install Windows 10. You can then download and run the media creation tool. For more information on how to use the tool, see the instructions below.

Is there another keyboard you can plug in?  Some other method can you try?
