I want to sell my PC. I did a factory reset to clean my hard disk.  How do I know if it worked? And what can I do now that Cortana is asking me for my account information?

@Quodlibet

I can tell you right now -- it did not CLEAN your PC, as all a factory reset does is REFORMAT the drive and rewrite the contents.

Anything that did not get overwritten is still there -- and anyone with a decent data recovery app will be able to get all of that back.

You need to read this tutorial I wrote to find out what to actually do:  https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebooks-Knowledge-Base/Preparing-a-used-HP-notebook-for-resale/ta-p/...
