it would help if you helped us by identifying your HP desktop PC. It sounds to me as if you installed a 32-bit Windows ISO image to virtual box. A 64-bit Windows installation can run either one, especially in VirtualBox.
Here is a link to 64-bit Windows VirtualBox images. Be sure that you download the 64-bit version this time.

When logged into Windows, hold down the Windows key and tap the R key.
Type in msinfo32 and press enter.
The ninth line is the SKU and the HP product number. Kindly post it in your next reply in your thread.
An alternative method:
Take a look at the bottom of the notebook among the tiny letters and locate the ProdID.
The ProdID will enable us to determine the hardware configuration of your notebook.

Thanks for the product information. I see it is delivered with Windows 10 Home version.
Windows 10 Home and VirtualBox are not compatible. The issue is the Windows 10 won't allow you to turn on Virtual services and that is a big issue when that is what you need for VirtualBox.
You will need to get yourself a Windows 10 Pro key for VirtualBox.
You can acquire one pretty inexpensively.
