You can use the following tool

@buzzsaw2 -- in addition to what @banhien wrote,

see: How to find Windows Product Key Using PowerShell? (tutorialspoint.com)

This runs a Windows PowerShell command -- no need to download any program.

EDIT: where the above web-page twice uses the apostrophe character, substitute each usage by the quote character.

Note that some anti-virus programs flag such "key-finding" software as being in the "Hacker-Tool" class, and block the program from being executed.

Also, the Windows "SmartScreen" filter within Microsoft Edge may flag such a download.

Normally you don't need the windows key at all
Except in certain special cases
You say you have problems with the search function, it may be useless to reinstall windows, if that's what you want to do!
And if you reinstall windows, you shouldn't need the key

If you also have an update problem, specify, maybe there is a solution!
Up to you

@buzzsaw2 -- update will not update

Within the "Settings" window in Windows 10, see the "Troubleshooting" section.

One of the items in that section is a trouble-shooter for fixing problems with Windows Update.

Run that trouble-shooter, and then tell us the results.

Can you connect a spare USB keyboard to your computer, and use that keyboard to "type" into that box?
