HP Desktop PC M01-F0000a (2W899AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

This computer is NEW.  Two weeks ago I sent my invoice to them and they were supposed to "reset" the waranty.  Didnt happen.

But that is a minor problem...maybe....The problem I am having is that the monitor blinks off for 2 seconds and then back on in a seemingly random fassion.  It is so bad that I cannot communicate on it thru the "noise" as it hurts my head!!  So I am on my old computer now Monitor is fine now but if I cannect to the new computer it blinks.  This is obviously NOT a monitor problem.   suspect its a "settings" problem.

It looks like it is going off to work on something else and turns off the video when it leaves, turning it back on when it returns two seconds later..

Yesterday I got a notice that there was an upgrade waiting to be installed down on the lower right of my screen under "new notification".  I figured, "what the hell, it probably wont hurt."  I installed the upgrade and the flashing screen went away!!!!  I hope it doesnt come back!

Sound like a bad connection but check your power and sleep settings

Set screen to "never" just to see if that makes a difference.

If problem still exists then we need to see if the motherboard has a problem.

For  motherboard borrow a VGA cable and connect to your monitor and see if the problem is still there.

If VGA works then get a magnifying class and sufficient lighting and look for debris in the HDMI port.

Otherwise contact service
