hi, is there in the meantime a solution / update for the freezing bug (see> https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Operating-Systems-and-Recovery/Automated-Maintenance-freezes-m...) available?

i found a work around on another site > install ms powertoys and set Awake > ON.

Seems to work.

thx

Hi @kal10bachIT,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your Windows PC freezes when you try to synchronize the system time using the "w32tm" command, there could be several possible reasons for this issue. Here are a few things you can try to resolve the problem.

  • Run the command as an administrator: Make sure you open the command prompt as an administrator before running the w32tm command. To do this, right-click on the Command Prompt icon and select "Run as administrator".
  • Disable third-party time synchronization software: If you have any third-party software installed on your PC that synchronizes the system time, try disabling it temporarily and then run the w32tm command again.
  • Check the Windows Time service: Make sure that the Windows Time service is running on your PC. You can check this by typing "services.msc" in the Run dialog box and pressing Enter. Look for the "Windows Time" service in the list and make sure it's set to "Automatic" and is running.
  • Disable any firewalls or antivirus software: Sometimes, firewalls or antivirus software can interfere with the system time synchronization process. Try disabling any firewalls or antivirus software temporarily and then run the w32tm command again.
  • Check the system logs: Check the system logs for any error messages related to time synchronization. You can access the system logs by typing "eventvwr.msc" in the Run dialog box and pressing Enter. Look for any errors related to the Windows Time service or the w32tm command.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
