Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP Pavilion 23-q159na All-in-One Desktop, but when it turns on  i get 3 long beeps and 4 short beeps, three times then it comes on normally.

Please can someone help/advise, thank you.

This could be a bad power supply  or a motherboard failure.

Do not buy a replacement power supply.  See if you can borrow a genuine HP power supply to test with or ...

Take to a retail store that sells certified HP power supplies. Talk to sales agent if possible

If the power supply (120 watt minimum) works then buy it.  If not then there is a serious problem with motherboard.

 

HP power supply may have a special "pin" and your system may not work with a cheap imitation.

Getting error unsupported adapter installed - HP Support Community - 6145827

not 100% effective ok, but it's simple, it has helped several users, it's worth trying
