Hi, Aitch:

 

The Wolfdale 3.20 GHz E6700 will not work correctly with or without the microcode update, so that is definitely out.

 

If you intend to update the BIOS on the PC with the v2.10 path, then use the latest one below...As you can see from the revision history tab, it will go from 2.10 to 3.07.  BTW, I don't see a v3.06 listed.

Here's a discussion that shows the E6700 Wolfdale processor won't work no matter what you try.
