How can I get rid of this pop up box. Suddenly started appearing when trying to use the control panel.

Inserted in the box is the following wording: C:\ProgramData\{9A88E103-A20A-4EA5-8636-C73B709A5BF8}\listSvc.d

Greetings,

Do you get to the "Control Panel"?

When did this start?

Have you tried a Microsoft System Restore?

What Anti-Virus program are you using? Download Malwarebytes free version here. Install and run a scan, if possible.

You may want to run an offline scan using Kaspersky's Rescue Disk if you are unable to install Malwarebytes. You can also download and run Microsoft's Win Defender offline.

You really should think about enhancing your PC's security.

I recommend, Kaspersky, Symantec, or Bit Defender Anti-Virus solutions. You can find good deals for these A-V vendors at Amazon.

Additional security enhancements which work in tandem with most A-V solutions are Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit or Heimdal Security.

Worst case scenario is having to rebuild the system using HP recovery discs. Backing up and restoring the data from the existing install to the factory recovery could migrate the malware to the clean install. Be cautious.

Cheers!
