Bought an NVME adapter and Kioxia 128gb drive for my z620 workstation (NOT an HP Turbo Drive, an aftermarket one from Amazon). I put Windows 10 on the drive on another computer to see if I could boot from it.
Drive doesn't show up in the boot menu of the BIOS, but in Windows 10 from a SATA SSD the drive is there and performs as it should. Am I missing a step or can the zx20 series just not boot from addin cards? (I have the latest BIOS version from 2019 which supports NVMEs)

There is a discussion here about the Z420 and booting NVME

A discussion here about using a modded bios for Z620 as well
I recently bought a PCIe adapter for M.2 but have not experimented with it yet.
Good Luck!
