Thank you for sharing the details.

May I know if you have checked the different USB ports?

Kindly check this External drive on another unit.

As I can see above the 1st picture has been disguised, why? The model number and serial number, which is printed on the yellow label, are:  SBW-06D2X-U and K7D0AP089451 (or K7DO...)

I can confirm the drive's instantaneous functionality on my Lenovo ideapad 3

We request that you connect the USB port to the laptop directly and check.

Hello Jerry,

look at the picture and acknowledge that it is doing fine. Any idea what is wrong with my HP-Desktop?

Thank you for sharing the details.

Most external drives draw enough power directly from the USB port. If the drive has two USB cables or an external power brick (common with larger Blu-ray burners), make sure it is plugged into the wall for sufficient power.

It also has a two USB cables; make sure you connect the 2nd USB to a power socket.

Hello Jerry,

none of your suggestions have solved the problem although. Why are we focusing on the external drive, which is instantly operational on my Lenovo? To my opinion any related detail in the architecture of  my HP-All-in-One  should be analyzed. Would you dig deeper in this matter please?

Thanks,

Michael
