Boot Problems - Graphic Card

I have recently brought a GTX 730 4GB DDR3 Zone Edition I plugged it into my PC and My PC won't boot up now. I tried removing the graphics card and booting and it booted up. Is there any BIOS update available for my PC or is it some other problem?

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

The 730 requires a UEFI BIOS. Your PC does not have this BIOS and cannot be updated to a UEFI BIOS.

You can run Nvidia 600 series GPUs.

But you may need to upgrade the factory PSU as it is 300 watts. Upgrading the PSU depends on what 600 series GPU you decide to use.

Well, before I read this answer - I was able to fix it myself by making it force boot from the HDD on SATA 0.

That is unusual.

Your PC (p6-2010ix) tops out at BIOS version 7016 Rev.A. This is a Legacy BIOS.

Nvidia 700 series and above GPUs require BIOS version 8.xx or above.

How did you make the PC force boot on SATA0? SATA0 should be the default port for boot HDD

Heres how I fixed it -

I opened the computer pressed F12 

waited for 2 beeps and after the second beep I waited for 10 -15 sec more and then press and hold ESC key until the screen changed to network boot mode and the OS automatically started. after this I installed all the drivers and stuff and made it work 🙂
