I want to know if it is safe for me to uninstall HP SimplePass.  I have a home PC, no fingerprint scanner, never used SimplePass for anything.  I ask because it seems to be using resources that it doesn't need, it is in startup and it doesn't need to be.

It just seems like a pointless program to have running when I don't need or use it.  I ask though because I don't know if it might be doing something in the background that I actually do need.

Thanks.  I had read several other discussions but they were all fairly old and most seemed to deal with laptops or actual business computers with the fingerprint reader.

So basically I can just uninstall it the way I would any other program.  Good to know.

I appreciate your incredibly quick response and a very straightforward answer with a link as well.

Thanks again
