@Tyler1232222 -- in my opinion, trying to update the BIOS will not solve your problem, and the attempt could turn your computer into a "brick".

Typically, a "blue screen" is a software issue within Microsoft Windows.

To prove this:

  1. remove the disk-drive
  2. purchase and connect a new disk-drive
  3. disconnect the Ethernet cable from your computer
  4. install Windows 10, choosing to _not_ allow it to access the Internet

I believe that this "fresh" install should not "blue-screen".

If it does, your computer has a "hardware" issue -- but updating the BIOS is *NOT* the first thing that you should try.

A different Hdd has been put in and several windows reinstalls have been done, which makes me more confused on what the issue could be Also, this should have been in the original post. The error is 1801- microcode update error

Ah.

The current BIOS is trying to send an update to your processor, but that attempt is failing.

In this case, a "refresh" of the BIOS might be required -- re-installing the current version of the BIOS.

Have you changed the processor away from the original factory-installed processor?

In this case, maybe there is a BIOS Update that will add support for your newer processor.

It’s had the same CPU for 3 years which is what has me so confused (intel i5 2400) and I know my bios is 1 version away from the latest
