I would just like to know if there has been a fix to the Critical Security Vulnerability that resides within HP Support Assistant software?   The HP Support Assistant download page speaks nothing of a fix or even gives release notes.  It would just be nice to know as I have uninstalled HP Support Assistant and HP Support Solutions Framework until there is a fix.

See link below for details.

Please advise.

Hello
just make sure the software is up to date
as well as all your software and windows ..
It is not because a flaw is found that you will have problems.
You just have to avoid dubious sites, do not click on everything and anything, avoid downloads on illegal sites etc!

Thank you Promethee for you reply but you must not have read the article in the link I provided.  Also I am not having any issues as I am proactive in my PC security and use.  HP does NOT PROVIDE any release notes or change logs to even know if the security issue has been addressed.  Just use the software as is without background info on it is like flying blind.

What is needed is for HP to let its customers know if this Security Flaw has been fixed specifically.

Here is the link I provided in my original post for everyone to be informed of the Security Flaw Issues.

Yes, because I don't care what we can say to the right and to the left ..
Hp gives a lot of information, that said!
Just follow what I said, no need to be alarmed about everything and anything, there is practically no risk for the common user, no more than if you go to questionable sites!
That said, the pc is quite old, it is possible that this software does not carry much in update!
So do with it, or uninstall it, no need to worry about that!

there are alerts of faults reported very often, whether for HP software, at intel amd, windows google and so on.
and fortunately there is no systematic attack among users!

you are more at risk with covid 19 right now than anything else

Well I am glad that you "don't care" because I do.  Security is serious!

Also HP does not provide "a lot of information".  You show me the Release Notes and the Change Logs and I will be satisfied.

Thank you in advance.
