How do i get the function keys to work?  I work i Excel a lot and I'm interested in disabling the multimedia keys function, so i do not have to press the "fn" key every time i want to hit F2, for example. Currently the default has the multimedia key enabled.  I do not want to enable multi media (brightness, volume); rather, i simply want to revert to traditional F-Key functions.  I've tried the BIOS settings and UEFI System configuration, etc.  This model is new and does not have the same settings available, so i am unable to control it from these areas.

I have a HP Pavilion All-in-One - 27xa0014.  I've seen the threads posted on here and looks like there may not be a fix.  That doesn't make sense, because why would the user be disallowed from controlling this function?

I don't know if the free keyboard mapping utility FastKeys will do what you want, but it might be worth trying:  https://fastkeysautomation.com/
