F1 - F12 functionality (fn key) on keyboard - HP Support Community

When I want to use F1 - F12 functions I have to press 'fn' in combination with the required key. Is there a way to change the settings such that F1 - F12 functionality becomes the primary function of the key with actions like adjustment of the volume/ brightness becoming secondary (fn) functions?

unfortunately the only possible solutions currently are software, or hardware replacement
There is a solution, but that is to block the key, and you may break the keyboard
Unfortunately either this is not suitable or user feedback

Does your current keyboard have a button labelled "FN LOCK" ? If so, press that key to "flip" the functionality.

If not, purchase a keyboard that does not have a "FN" key.
