HP Audio Switch - what does it do?

Curious about what some of the installed software does?   Specifically HP Audio Switch and Jumpstart.  Thanks.

While the first link was helpful the second does not mention anything about "HP Audio Switch".   I was trying to download it to see what it was but can't find a link on drivers page.   I was wondering if it had anything to do with being able to get audio over both HDMI outputs at the same time

I got an HP 15-BS015DX (or something along those lines) back in July of 2017. Actually, it was for my son. Usually, the first thing I do when I get a Windows machine is to remove or disable programs that I do not need. HP is well know for this. I already uninstalled HP Jumpstart (not even sure what it does) but I just uninstalled HP Audio Switch on 9-Dec-2017. I noticed in my system tray that I had Realtek HD Audio Manager and this HP Audio Switch. I uninstalled HP Audio Switch with no impact to my son's laptop. Same with HP Jumpstart. So in short, if you have some audio manager software already, remove HP Audio Switch. Who knows, it may have been logging my son's activities when it was installed.

I believe the question was WHAT is it, and what does it do?.

"Tools to enjoy" doesnt say a thing. The links provided dont say a thing. 

What would help, is, if people actually answered questions. 
Well, at least you didnt waste time saying "I don't know" . (I'd ask WHO does that. But, some smart alec, other than me, would respond "I dont know". So, I'm not.)

I'm in the same boat - am yet to discover what it actually does.

What it started doing with the latest out-of-the blue release last month:

It started crashing on its own the moment it's run. I reverted back to the original version, as supplied with PC, and ignore nagging messages from HPSA.

Whilst being here: This situation is reminiscent of the one with HP Connection Optimizer:

As far as I'm concerned the latter has equally never been answered, nor corrected.
