Hi @Mom17
Welcome to the HP Forums!
Thank you for posting your query in this forum, it's a great place to find answers.
I reviewed your post and I understand that the Media smart application is not working.
Don’t worry, we will work together to resolve this issue and It’s a pleasure to assist you in this regard.
I recommend you to uninstall the application and restart your computer. Download the application from the below link and install it again and check.
Alternately, you can also use the camera app which comes preinstalled with Windows 10.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles.

What was the actual operating system you were using Mediasmart Photo on?
You have posted Windows 10 above, but Mediasmart Photo only worked on Windows 7 and possibly 8.
If you upgraded from 7 to 10 and it carried over, it will most likely not work as a clean install.
The download that The_Fossette pointed to is only an update to Mediasmart, not the actual installation files.
I will upload the install file for Mediasmart photo for you to try to install.

If you first uninstall media smart from a system that was upgraded to windows 10 as Fossett suggested, then the update for media smart will not reinstall it. Apparently you did not uninstall media smart. Also if you clean install Windows 10, you would have to try to install the full version, thus why I gave you the download link.
Glad its working now.
