I did two of the things recommended and at least one of them worked, after restarting a couple of times:
Uninstalled Omen Gaming Hub (**bleep** do I want a piece of hardware running my gaming for anyway?) and
went to Program Files > HP > OmenInstallMonitor and just changed the folder name to XOmenInstallMonitor.

I had this problem today too. I did go into the task scheduler and I deleted all the entry in there until those where gone. Next since so many of the Omen Monitors spawned you can mass kill them by going to the CMD prompt run as administrator and use the command below this will kill all running instances. I don't know if the task will get put back but it did give me back the memory.
taskkill /F /IM OmenInstallMonitor.exe
Don’t forget to execute as admin

Just made this account to report the exact same problem, this stupid HP OMEN Install Monitor took all my RAM, and my laptop started switching from black screen to normal desktop for a couple of minutes and then got completely frozen, the cooling fans were going like crazy. I got this stupid from my keyboard and next time I will definitely got another brand, no one want this fckin stupid software. Delete the software and restart solved the problem. Should have done this earlier.

If I believed in any god I would have thanked him/whatever so I thank you instead! We can still have faith in some human being.
I should have thought that solution myself...
I said we should have faith in some human being... not sure I can have faith in HP no more... I don't wanna spit on the plate, my OMEN was simply brilliant and awesome...till it worked! I should say "till they worked", considering the fact I actually bough two of them in just 1 year time... all went great till the battery got swollen deforming the entire case, bought a second one with urgency due to work to be done, to give this back to Amazon and I'm glad I didn't give it back... because the new one got its own issue around 2 years after purchase, with the motherboard giving up and dying so I had to come back to this one which I could use plugged with no battery while the new one was sent to be fixed thanks to the fact I had 3 years insurance on it. It was went in Bulgary {I'm from Italy} and had to wait a month or so, they say couldn't find a substitute for the motherboard and just when I asked to be refunded or given a new computer miraculously they fixed it and sent it back. Now, to make the story shot... 1 year later the "new" motherboard died... now I wonder... did they change it or just sent me the same fixed in order to survive till the guarantee was over? I spent 3000€ for 2 OMEN laptops {were promo prices, the laptops were 4000€ worthy as a whole} in 1 year and I'm using the 1st one which at least survived this long. I believe I deserved a much better treatment and I'm sorry for the woman who gave me support before sending the laptop to repair, because she was very supportive and helpful and should probably work in a better company.
Today here this new issue I was desperate to fix.
When I bought the 1st one I wanted to ask HP to support as technical partnership for an important project I was working at back then... when I bought the 2nd one I still had some trust left on them. Today I cannot say the same. The project died for lack of support in many areas but at this point I wonder how profitable a partnership with HP could work back then if all the rest went well and proceeded.
I'm definitely an unhappy customer today. I dunno when I'll be able to buy a new laptop again but I doubt I would go with OMEN an, in general, with HP again.
I dunno if there is any other company better, by this time is quite hard to have faith in any company at all. I wonder also if an OMEN at the very top of the brand, considering these I bought were mid gamma, would have had a better life or the problems were going to be the same.
If the HP guys are reading this... I'm angry but most of all I'm disappointed, which is even worse to me.
Thanks again Sdasdsac for that simple yet effective fix... the CPU dropped back to 6-10% and the GPU to less than 20% again.
PS: That issue not only pushed my CPU to 100% when regularly it goes at less than 20% usage as average, but also completely sucked the whole 32GB of RAM dry like not even Unreal Engine 5 does! I really hope I won't have that problem or problems like that never ever again!

Hi – I too had this issue. After uninstalling HP OMEN INSTALL MONITOR and deleting the HP folder in Program Files, I did a deep scan of my computer and did find a virus. Something you too might want to check. Hope this help.
