HI @WACJR,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To reinstall HP One Agent on your system, follow these steps. HP One Agent, often included with HP Support Assistant, helps manage your HP devices by providing diagnostics, updates, and support tools. Here’s how you can reinstall it:
Uninstall HP One Agent (if currently installed)
- Open Control Panel:
- Press Windows + R, type control, and press Enter to open the Control Panel.
- Uninstall a Program:
- Go to Programs > Programs and Features.
- Look for HP Support Assistant and/or HP One Agent in the list of installed programs.
- Select it and click Uninstall.
- Follow the prompts to complete the uninstallation process.
Reinstall HP Support Assistant and HP One Agent
Download HP Support Assistant:
- Visit the HP Support Assistant download page.
Download the Installer:
- Click on the download link to get the latest version of HP Support Assistant.
Install HP Support Assistant:
- Once the download is complete, run the installer.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install HP Support Assistant.
- This installation process should include HP One Agent.
Restart Your Computer:
- After the installation is complete, restart your computer to ensure all components are correctly installed.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Thanks for the help. I've managed to uninstall and reinstall the both the assistant and the agent. This all started when I could not run the HP Hardware Diagnostics from the Assistant. I get an "Application Fault -- The application has exited unexpectedly." It logs and event id 134 in windows 11 events. I can run the diagnostics from the UEFI Bios options. So, I guess I don't have to worry.
