I use the HP SMART APP daily and today I went in and opened it and it just spins with a blank white background. I have  restarted, uninstalled/re-installed. I also repaired and reset it and restarted my computer and checked several other things with in the trouble shooting process and it still isn't working. Any ideas?

Hi @KLYNCH07

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I acknowledge the situation you described with the HP App showing only a blank screen. Let’s move through recommended steps to restore functionality:

Reset the HP App via Windows Settings

  • Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
  • Locate HP App.
  • Select Advanced options > Reset.
  • Restart the computer after the reset.

Run Diagnose & Fix in HP App

  • Open the HP App.
  • Select your printer.
  • Go to Support > Diagnose & Fix.
  • Allow the tool to automatically check and repair issues.

Update HP System Software

  • Visit HP Support > Software & Drivers
  • Enter your product name/model.
  • Download and install the latest BIOS, chipset, and drivers.
  • Restart the computer after installation.

Check Windows Updates

  • Go to Start > Settings > Windows Update.
  • Apply all available updates.
  • Restart the system.

Verify HP Services

  • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  • Ensure HP Print Service and HP App Service are set to Automatic and running.
  • If stopped, right‑click and select Start.

These steps are designed to restore the HP App’s normal operation. If the issue continues after completing them, please let me know the exact step where the behavior remains unchanged so we can refine the guidance further.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
