Hi All,

Does the HP Support Assistant have any ability to be executed via CMD line options?

I can't seem to find a downloadable user manual document for the HP Support Assistant...only live web pages that show you how to use the GUI which is not what I'm trying to figure out.

What I would like to be able to do is this...

  1. Silently install the Management Framework and Support Assistant - DONE!
  2. Silently execute the warranty check - Can't find CMD line reference anywhere?

Then I will use a network tool to farm multiple machine registries to be able to report on my HP Desktop stock warranty statuses...all with zero GUI interaction...

Any help / ideas would be greatly appreciated.

So it seems the Support Assistant is a collection of APPS...

I found this...

C:\Program Files (x86)\Hewlett-Packard\HP Support Framework\Warranty\HPWSD.exe

If I run it from CMD it does create the base WARRANTY registry key but it does not run nor populate the actual keys and values I'm after...

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Hewlett-Packard\HPActiveSupport\HPSF\Warranty]

"WED"="20200408"
"CED"="20220408"
"HSD"="20190409"

I also tried running  the various EXE files in the Support Assistant program files areas with /? but it returns nothing?

The search continues...
