Hello, HP Support Assistant Version: 9.16.80.0 is installed on my HP Slim Desktop S01-aF1000i. Version 9.13.85.0 is available for download on the HP Support Assistant website. HP Support Assistant 9.6.587.0 is available for download on the US and DE support and driver websites. You can't find anything about HP Support Assistant Version: 9.16.80.0 on Google either. Where can I download HP Support Assistant Version: 9.16.80.0? It's a mess. That is not healthy. Kind regards, Thomas

This is what one of the Microsoft MVP'ers thinks about the HP Support Assistant
I have that app on several HP systems even a Dell system but I do not have the 9.16.80.0
I did find a few references to the 9.16.80.0 but no place to download it.
Our volunteer @Prométhée might be able to find it.
I would be interested in looking at it if you can upload or email it to me. Look in your folder on the C drive "swsetup" and send a PM to me to get my email.

from memory, I just downloaded the version here
HP Support Assistant | HP® Official Site
and I'm not 100% certain but the update is then carried out, via the microsoft store

Good day, thanks for your help. HP Support Assistant 9.16.80.0 is not available for download anywhere. It updates itself in the background. There isn't even an SP number for this version. I think Microsoft is pulling the strings here. HP Support Assistant is no longer offered in the Microsoft Store. I've searched everything and found nothing. Yours sincerely, Thomas Krocker.

Although HP SA is installed from the HP website (Current version is v9.13.85.0) any updates for it are now updated via 'Microsoft Store', which should already be installed on your computer. 'Microsoft Store' can be accessed via the Start menu then click on 'Library' at bottom LHS then click on 'Get Updates'.
In my case HP SA is listed in my 'Library' of apps and was last updated on 19th May 2022 and is now v9.16.80.0.
I think HP changed the updating process a few months ago.

Strange - I just checked my Z400 and discovered I have 9.16.80.0. It was not there last week.
Nothing was downloaded or installed but somehow the version number got changed.
AFAICT there is no difference at all in the application.

Hello everyone. I just got off the phone with HP support. The nice support employee was amazed that version 9.16.80.0 even exists.
He didn't know anything about it and couldn't find the SP number either. We stayed in such a way that he notified me by email. If there is an SP number, he will email me the download link.

Since it is an update that is made from the microsoft store
The last SP, so for now, is the one to download from Hp support
then, no other choice, the update is made from the Microsoft Store, so you can have the update manually, or without realizing it automatically !

Finally having the SP, would be practically useless here anyway!
It seems that we can not find the version directly on the store
That the update is only done if you already have the old version installed
As shown in the image I gave, this can be accessed once the update is done
