I have tried everything I can think of. I have deleted the desktop computer from HP Support Assistant. The error messages went away. HP Support Assistant then only showed the three printers I have. I then closed the HP Support Assistant. When I reopened the HP Support Assistant, the software added my desktop machine which is a Dell XPS 8930 computer. This computer is new and is only 2 months old. When I first set it up in June, I installed the HP Support Assistant and that is when these same old error messages showed up again. So I am ready to give up and uninstall HP Support Assistant because it is not working for me. I think HP software should be better than this, especially since it is an HP printer that is causing the issue. But I do appreciate your attempt to help. Thank you.

@Craig85268,

As you have mentioned in your post that the error goes away when you delete the desktop computer. HP support assistant is specific to HP Products.

In case if you have issues with the printer, we have full feature software drivers which should help you resolve the issue.

I hope this answers your question. Let me know if you need any further assistance. I'll be more than happy to help you.

Take care and have a great day!

Cheers 🙂
