I have a stand alone desktop business PC brand new out of the box and upgraded to Windows 11. I can't make pdfs open in Foxit. Instead they open in HP Sure Click Secure Browser (Chromium) no matter what I select as the default (obviously Foxit in this case). I am up to date with both Windows and HP updates. I have, of course, rebooted the machine a number of times since making this change and still no joy. I saw one post here with this same issue but evidently the default apps change sorted it for them. But not in my case.

I am the administrator of this PC. I don't particularly want to reinstall any software, and really, I shouldn't have to,. I would probbaly like to uninstall the HP Sure Click Secure Browser as I shall likely never use it. How would I do that? If it's not there then it can't hijack my pdfs!
