What is the HP System Event Utility please ?
I know it provides some information about this PC.
I've noticed this in my startup before, although I disabled it as I wasn't sure what it was.
Do I leave this in my startup, please ?
Thank you.

You can get it from the Microsoft Store:

Below is the description to what the HP System Event Utility does:
The HP System Event Utility enables special function keys on supported notebook models to be programmed.
For example, HP System Event Utility enables users to press the Fn+ESC keys to view system information.

Really ? I'll disable it then.
I don't know why it's showing in the first place then, or what's caused it to appear.
Thanks for informing me though.
Edit:
The full title of it under Windows Settings, Apps, Startup is: HP System Event Utility Launcher.
Under Installed Apps, where it says specifications, there is a version number: 3.2.16.0.

You're very welcome.
I wouldn't know why HP included that software unless you have an All-in-One PC.
I have a HP 350 G1 notebook PC, and the HP software included the HP SimplePass fingerprint logon software.
The thing is...my notebook didn't even come with the fingerprint sensor hardware that the software needs to function, so I uninstalled it.
This discussion explains what the utility is typically used for in notebook PCs.
You can try the software on your PC if you think it would add some value.
I can't use it on any of my HP business desktop PCs that have standalone monitors.
There is no way to adjust my monitor's brightness via the keyboard, for example.

I don't believe this is an All-In-One PC ?
Some HP software has installed it I think, but I'm not sure what.
The HP software that is currently installed:
HP Audio Centre
HP Audio Switch
HP Documentation
HP Jumpstarts
HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows
HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI)
HP Privacy Settings
HP Smart
Also, HP Software Component Driver Update (1.85.4369.0)
The BIOS is F43.
HP Support Assistant was installed on here before, but I think it may have been causing problems (not sure), so for now it's been uninstalled. I did tell Windows to keep the settings in case I re-installed it.

Thanks, at some point I will.
As I say, I don't know how it found it's way onto this PC, it could only have via some other software.
At some point, I will risk uninstalling it. I don't suppose it cause any harm doing that.
Having said that, you are probably aware but I am having an issue with HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows, whereby for some reason System Profile is reporting an error. Whether the two are related or not ?
Thank you for your help anyway though.
