Ciao.

You're very welcome.

Yes, I had a great weekend.  Thank you for asking, and I hope you did too.

Does the PC have the Intel graphics adapter, or is there an add on video card?

If you are sure that the PC only has the onboard Intel graphics adapter, try manually installing the driver.

First install the free 7-zip file utility that you will need to extract the sp42426 file into a driver folder.

The first link at the top of the page is for 32 bit.

7-Zip

After you install 7-zip, right click on the Intel sp42426 file and select 7-zip from the list of items on the menu.

Have 7-Zip Extract to: and let it extract the file into its folder name (sp42426).

Once that is done, read the info at the link below for how to manually install the graphics driver in XP.

Manually Install a Graphics Driver in Windows XP* (intel.com)

The inf file you want to select in the graphics driver folder will be kit16653.

That should install the Intel graphics driver when you get one of those not supported errors when automatically running the exe file.

The second issue is easily resolvable...you need this driver for that device...

This package provides the device driver for the Infineon Trusted Platform Module (TPM 1.2) in the supported desktop models running a supported Microsoft Windows XP Operating System.

Ciao Paul.

Yes, I also had a good weekend.

In the pc there's an Nvidia 8400 DVI graphics and work properly.

OK, in the next few days I'll try everything and let you know.

Thanks again, Marco.

You're very welcome, Marco.

If the Nvidia 8400 graphics card is a PCIe x16 card, then the onboard Intel graphics has been disabled, which is why you are getting that graphics driver error.

You do not need to install the Intel graphics driver.

Ciao Paul and Good Morning.

You right!!!, the Nvidia Graphic card is installed in PCI 16X slot.

All OK, I've launch the files for unknown peripheral and now the system is perfect.

Good morning, Marco.

Anytime.  Glad to have been of assistance.

I have a dc7800 CMT running W10 Pro 64 bit, a 240 GB SSD, and 8 GB of memory.

I have the AMD Radeon HD 6570 graphics card in mine because the CMT has a 365W power supply.

I won't retire it because it still works so well.

Enjoy the rest of your week.

Paul

Ciao Paul.
Uahoo!!!
I've one last question for you, although I think I already know the answer (I'm just asking you to be 100% sure).
In my laboratory, I've also one HP Compaq dc7800 Minitower Convertibile.
https://support.hp.com/it-it/drivers/selfservice/hp-compaq-dc7800-convertible-minitower-pc/3459240

Do I think the same as what you have too, just?
So, I would to reinstall windows Xp Professional 32 bit also in this pc.
I noticed that the drivers a/o updates are the same also for PC HP Compaq dc7800 Small Form Factor.
https://support.hp.com/it-it/drivers/selfservice/hp-compaq-dc7800-small-form-factor-pc/3459241

So I can use drivers also for Mini Tower Convertible and resolve problems as same, right?
Sorry for more stress.
Have a very good life, Marco.

Ciao, Marco

Yes, you can use the same BIOS update and driver files from the dc7800 SFF on the CMT, and visa versa.

I am always glad to be of help to you.  Anything you need to know in the future, if I can help, I will.

Ciao Paul.
How are you?
I hope everything very well.
A question?
I can configure my PC HP Compaq DC7800 Convertible Minitower (CMT PC ALL) with 2 identical hard disks in Raid 1 ?
I checked in the BIOS (1.35, the latest version available), but I can't find the setting.
If yes, where in BIOS I can I set?
Can I do it before installing Windows XP Professional (32-bit)?
Waiting your news.
Have a good weekends.
Saluti, G-Marco.

Hi, G-Marco:

Yes, you can set up RAID in your dc7800, but I don't know how to do that.

The RAID setting is in the BIOS, under the Storage Options tab.

The RAID device driver must be installed prior to attempting to boot from a RAID volume.

If you attempt to boot from a RAID volume without the required device driver installed, the system will crash (blue screen). Also, do not select the RAID option while the DriveLock feature is enabled on any attached hard drives.

Doing so will cause the DriveLocked drives to remain locked and inaccessible during subsequent reboots until another SATA Emulation mode is selected

So what this means is you have to install the RAID driver during the XP installation process.

This guide may help you.

dc7800 RAID.fm (hp.com)

This may help too...To use the F6 prompt method, you need to have a USB floppy drive and floppy disk.

Installing the Operating System onto a RAID Volume—F6 Install Method (intel.com)

Or you can slipstream the SATA/RAID controller drivers into a copy of your XP installation disk.

SATA Drivers - Slipstream into Windows XP CD - Windows 7 Help Forums (sevenforums.com)

I have attached the drivers you need to slipstream below.  Download, unzip the files and slipstream the entire folder.

Buona Fortuna!

It seems very complicat.

If I try, I'll let you know the result.

Thank you so much again.
