Pavilion 560-p040nd
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Inside there are three harddisks: C - D - E.

E is for recovery.

C = 118GB (SSD disk) and D = 1TB (HDD disk)

It seems that C is the normal drive to put in the programs (it is there are allready) but when I transfer from my old computer he says: no more space available.

@Lowuz,

In his remarks, @banhien pointed out the 2 partitions on the SSD ( C and E).  The SSD's speed makes the boot process very fast.  He also pointed out the data drive is for storage. The data drive is a SATAIII, capable of 6Gb/s speeds.  Maybe it's not documented, or explained properly, as this question is repeatedly asked.

Your can re-assign folders to the data drive.

1) Select "Settings"

2) In the "Find a setting" box type "storage", then click on "Default save locations"

From that menu, you can assign the New apps, and various folders.

I hope both replies helped.

Hi,

The followin link shows specs of your computer:

   http://support.hp.com/hr-en/document/c05266944

It has one 128GB SD and one 1 TB HDD physically.

The SSD has two partitions

C: for Windows and othe programs and normally we install new programs on C:

E: For Recovery partition, please do not touch to it

The HDD (D:) should be empty and you can store your files/data on it (vieos, musics, documents ...)

Where do you transfer data/files from your old computer to  ? C: on new computer is too small, please only transfer files/data from your old computer to 😧

Regards.
