Hi @xzdadas ,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

The UUID (Universally Unique Identifier) is usually a system-generated identifier assigned to a device or component for identification purposes. In the case of a desktop computer like the OMEN 30L Desktop - GT13-0014, the UUID is often embedded in the system's firmware or BIOS/UEFI.

Configuring or changing the UUID is not a common user task because it's typically assigned by the hardware and is not meant to be modified by the end user. The UUID is used for various system identification purposes, and altering it could lead to issues with software and hardware interactions.

If you have a specific reason for needing to change or configure the UUID, it's crucial to understand why and whether it's necessary. In most cases, users don't need to modify the UUID.

If you're having issues or need information related to your OMEN 30L Desktop, consider the following steps:

  1. Refer to the User Manual:

    • Check the user manual or documentation that came with your desktop. It might contain information about system identifiers or configurations.
  2. Access BIOS/UEFI Settings:

    • To access the BIOS/UEFI on your OMEN 30L, you typically need to restart your computer and press a specific key during the boot process (common keys include Esc, F2, F10, or Del). The correct key is often displayed on the screen during startup.
    • Once in the BIOS/UEFI settings, explore the available options, but exercise caution and avoid changing settings unless you're sure about the consequences.

If you have a specific reason for wanting to configure the UUID or if you're facing issues with your system, it's advisable to contact HP support. They can provide guidance and assistance based on the specifics of your situation.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
