How can I update TPM from 1.2 to 2.0

Hi:

 

You will not be able to update the TPM security chip to version 2.0.

 

You need to have an Elitebook 840 G3 or newer to be able to do that.

 

HP Desktops, Notebooks, and Workstations - HP TPM Configuration Utility With Windows 10 Anniversary ...

 

If you were wanting to upgrade the TPM to 2.0, so that your notebook can run W11, even if you could, the processor does not meet Microsoft's minimum W11 processor requirements.

If you are interested in installing W11 on your PC as is, you can read this discussion for how I upgraded several HP and Dell notebook and desktop PC's that did not meet the W11 hardware requirements to W11 22H2.

 

You have to use the version of the Rufus utility that I zipped up and attached in the discussion (v3.18).

If the in-place upgrade fails, then you will need to clean install W11 using the bootable W11 installation flash drive you made with Rufus.
